Discover one of the most spectacular sections of the world-famous Lycian Way on this multi-day hiking adventure from Fethiye to Patara. Combining breathtaking coastal scenery, mountain landscapes, and ancient history, this journey offers an unforgettable experience along Turkey’s Mediterranean coast.
Starting in Ovacık, near Fethiye, the route follows the western section of the Lycian Way, passing through dramatic cliffs, pine forests, traditional villages, and some of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region. Each day, hikers cover an average distance of approximately 14 km, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and explore the cultural heritage of the area.
Along the trail, you will encounter remarkable remnants of the ancient Lycian civilization, including historic pathways, archaeological sites, and ancient settlements that once formed part of the Lycian League. The route offers stunning panoramic views of the turquoise Mediterranean Sea, secluded bays, and rugged mountain peaks.
Highlights of the tour include the famous coastal landscapes of the Lycian Way, authentic village life, and visits to significant historical sites along the route. The journey concludes in the Patara region, home to one of the longest sandy beaches in Turkey and the impressive ruins of the ancient city of Patara, the former capital of Lycia.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Dalaman – Ovacık to Kirme Village Hike
Upon arrival at Dalaman Airport, guests are welcomed by our team and transferred to Fethiye. Participants joining the tour directly in Fethiye are picked up and join the group before the start of the adventure.
After lunch, we complete our hiking preparations, receive a route briefing, and make final equipment checks before heading to Ovacık, the official starting point of the Lycian Way.
Our first hike follows the scenic trails on the slopes of Babadağ Mountain, offering spectacular panoramic views over the famous Blue Lagoon and the coastline of Ölüdeniz. Surrounded by pine forests and Mediterranean landscapes, this section provides a perfect introduction to the natural beauty of the Lycian Way.
The day's walk ends in the traditional village of Kirme, where our vehicle meets the group and transfers us to our hotel in Faralya. The remainder of the evening is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and stunning coastal scenery.

Day 2: Faralya to Alınca Village
Today’s hike begins with breathtaking panoramic views over Butterfly Valley, one of the most iconic landmarks of the Lycian Way and home to the famous Jersey tiger butterflies. Following ancient footpaths along the mountainside, we enjoy spectacular vistas of the Mediterranean coastline throughout the day.
Descending toward Kabak Valley, we reach the refreshing waters of Kabak Waterfall, where there is time to relax and cool off in this beautiful natural setting. After a short break, we continue our journey along scenic coastal trails overlooking the turquoise waters of Kabak Bay and the dramatic cliffs of the surrounding coastline.
The route gradually ascends to Alınca Village, a peaceful mountain settlement perched high above the sea at the gateway to the renowned “Seven Capes” section of the Lycian Way. As the day comes to an end, we enjoy dinner accompanied by one of the most spectacular sunset panoramas on the Turkish Mediterranean coast.

Day 3: Alınca – Seven Capes – Ge Village
After breakfast, we begin our hike directly from the lodge, following one of the most scenic sections of the Lycian Way. The trail opens onto the spectacular Seven Capes (Yedi Burunlar), offering some of the most dramatic coastal panoramas along the entire Lycian Coast. Endless views of the Mediterranean Sea accompany us throughout the day as we traverse this remarkable landscape.
We descend along a series of winding mountain paths and reach Yassı Kaya, a perfect resting point overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Paradise Bay. After a break to enjoy the scenery, we continue through fragrant pine forests, open meadows, and traditional countryside landscapes before arriving in Ge Village for lunch.
In the afternoon, we settle into our charming eco-bungalows overlooking the sea. Guests may choose to relax at the property or take a walk down to the secluded beach below for a refreshing swim before dinner. The peaceful setting and stunning coastal views provide the perfect end to another memorable day on the Lycian Way.

Day 4: Ge Village – Gavurağılı Descent – Karadere
After an early breakfast, we continue our journey toward the Patara region, following scenic trails through fragrant pine forests and traditional rural landscapes. Along the way, we pass through Bel Village, where we stop for lunch and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this authentic Lycian mountain settlement.
The afternoon brings one of the most demanding and rewarding sections of the route: the famous Gavurağılı Descent. This steep and rocky trail requires careful footing as it winds down toward the coastline, offering dramatic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the untouched wilderness of the surrounding landscape.
Reaching Karadere Beach, we complete the day’s hike and transfer to our coastal accommodation. After a challenging day on the trail, there is time to relax and enjoy a well-deserved dinner while reflecting on the incredible scenery and achievements of the journey.

Day 5: Xanthos Ancient City – Departure
After breakfast, we visit the ancient city of Xanthos, the former capital of Lycia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its rich history and heroic resistance throughout antiquity, Xanthos offers a fascinating final glimpse into the Lycian civilization that has accompanied us throughout the journey.
