Itinerary

(Lunch included)

Go through the breathtaking beauty of the Byzantine frescoes and the stunning landscapes of Cappadocia on the Cappadocia Red Tour, which will take you to the region's most popular attractions.

One of the highlights of the tour is the Goreme Open Air Museum, which was home to rock-cut Byzantine Orthodox churches that were used for monastic life from the 4th to the 13th centuries. Today, dozens of caves still house the churches and are considered to be the birthplace of the monastic education system.

For centuries, Uchisar has been an important landmark on the Silk Road and is the highest point in the region. The Uchisar castle, which sits atop the peak, offers an enchanting panoramic view of magical and majestic Cappadocia. Before stopping for lunch, you'll have the opportunity to take stunning photos of the castle.

Located on the banks of the Kizilirmak (Red) River, Avanos is known for its pottery trade that dates back to the Hittite era, utilizing the region's abundant clay resources. Today, locals still maintain the traditional methods of pottery production. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to watch the skilled potters at work, using age-old techniques to create their beautiful pottery pieces.

Pasabag, also known as the Monks Valley, is home to some of the most striking rock formations, featuring double-bodied and multi-headed shapes. It is said that in the 5th century, St. Simeon settled in a cave house in this valley, where he spent the rest of his life.

The final stop on the tour is the Devrent Valley, also known as the "Imagine Valley" or "Pink Valley" due to the pink hue of the fairy chimneys that dot the landscape. One of the most iconic formations is the camel-shaped fairy chimney found here.
