Itinerary

(Lunch included)

When you join the Cappadocia Green tour, you'll have the opportunity to visit the most unique sites of the region.

Ozkonak Underground City was carved into the north slopes of Idis Mount and consists of hundreds of rooms that are connected to each other by corridors.

Pigeon Valley  starting from Uchisar and extending to Goreme, is a valley with ancient caves formed by the soft layer of lava and ash. It was named after the dovecotes carved into the soft rocks for the pigeons fed by the locals.

Mustafapasa Old Greek Village, located 25 kilometers from Nevsehir, is an old Greek village that hosts many structures, from mosques to churches, stone houses to madrasas, monasteries to mansions, and was awarded by the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Keshlik Monastery is one of the best preserved early Christian monasteries. It includes two churches, a winery, a kitchen, a dining hall, a school, and a meeting hall. It is thought to be able to accommodate 200 people.

Ortahisar is a charming town with narrow streets, lovely churches, and picturesque stone houses, both old and new. The most striking feature of the region is Ortahisar Castle, an 86-meter high natural rock formation that was used as a strategic castle during Roman times and later as accommodation. From the top of the castle, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Hallac Dere valley's fairy chimneys and Mount Erciyes.

In Soganli Valley, you can explore several 10th century churches with well-preserved wall paintings. The village is famous for its locally made doll, which has become its emblem. The doll's origin is rooted in a tragic event where a woman from the village lost her baby and created a rag doll to fill the emotional void. Over time, it became an art and a tradition. A Soganli doll is a prized addition to any doll collection. During your visit, you can enjoy a delicious Turkish lunch that includes various dishes, including the traditional Sac Tava.

Next on our itinerary is Pigeon Valley, where you'll witness thousands of pigeon houses carved into the rock. The sight is surreal, and the landscape looks like something out of a Salvador Dali painting, with conical formations that are reminiscent of phallic symbols. These formations are the result of volcanic eruptions that occurred millions of years ago. Over time, the wind, rain, and other natural elements have eroded the volcanic rock, leaving behind tufa, which is a soft and pliable stone.

The tour will end with the transfer back to your hotel; however, you can sign up to take advantage of TSG credits, and this is the best way to snag credits and use them for your next trips as a discount, as well as to hear about the hot deals according to your interests.
