Itinerary
Meet at Konya Airport and transfer to your hotel. You will be given your room key and the rest of the day is yours to explore Karaman. Overnight in Karaman.

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and depart for the Karaman City Tour. We will visit KARAMAN MUSEUM which was opened to visitors in 1980. The museum consists of two sections, archaeological items and ethnographical halls. Here you will see artifacts from neolithic age, chalcolithic age, classic age, Roman Empire Era, Byzantine Empire Era, Ottoman Empire Era and such. Next we will visit local mansions, TARTAN MANSION and HURREM DAYI MANSION which are older than 300 years and which reflect the architecture style of their times and you can also have an idea what did the traditional mansions looked like. Next stop will be AKTEKKE MOSQUE. The significance of the mosque is not only being an old mosque but also it has the tomb of Mumine Hatun, mother of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi. Then you will have some free time for lunch. After lunch we will drive about 1 hour to TASKALE GRANARIES. Here, there are more than 200 granaries that were carved into 40 m rock cliff which do worth to see. Next stop will be INCESU CAVE. Inside the cave there is a long stream of natural which is 1356 meters long. Here you will see the impressive cave stalactites, stalagmites and travertine pools. After the tour transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Karaman. Please note: Hurrem Dayi Mansion is closed on Sundays and Incesu Cave is closed on Tuesdays.

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and depart for Konya City Tour. After about 1,5 hours drive we will reach Konya. We will visit the MUSEUM OF MEVLANA. Mevlana Celadin-i Rumi is a 13th century Muslim saint and Anatolian Mystic known throughout the world for his exquisite poems and word of wisdom, which have been translated into many languages. Rumi, as he is known in the west, is the best seller poet in USA. The United Nations declared 2007 The Year of Rumi and celebrations were held worldwide. The museum was the dervish lodge (tekke) of the Mevlevi order, better known as the Whirling Dervishes, here you will different sections like Matbah (Kitchen), tombs, Tilavet Chamber (Quran Reading and Chanting), Semâ-Hâne (Ritual Hall). After the museum we will visit KARATAY MADRASA (Tiles Museum) The madrasa was founded in 1251 by Seljuklu Turks as a thelogical school where İslamic education was given. Inside the building is decorated by beautiful Seljuklu tiles and also some ceramic artefacts are also being exhibited which were discovered in excavations in Konya. Next stop will be ALEADDIN MOSQUE from 13th century. Unlike relatively new mosques this mosque has multiple coloumn style, 42 columns and a wooden ceiling are the interesting features of the structure. You have free time for lunch afterwards. Next you will have free time for lunch. After lunch we will visit KONYA ARCHAELOGICAL MUSEUM which has an excellent collection of ancient artifacts ranging from the Bronze Age to the Byzantine Era like inscriptions, mosaics, sarcophagus and such. After the tour transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Karaman. Please note: Karatay Museum and Konya Archeological Museum is closed on Mondays.

After breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel and depart to a local restaurant for your professional cooking lesson. You participate in your first Turkish cooking lesson: During our Karaman Cooking Tour, you will taste various flavors of Karaman Region and you will enjoy to cook & taste local food like Mikla (a starter with yogurt, garlick, eggs), Meat Balls with Tomato Souce (local version), Calla (a type of casserola with lamb and vetetables) and such. After lunch you will depart to city center for free time and shopping before returning to your hotel. After the tour transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Karaman.

After breakfast, we will pick you up from hotel for Hamam (Turkish Bath) Tour depending on your wish and available hours of Hamam. Turkish Bath is quite a popular part of Turkish Culture and it is being practiced all around the country therefore it will be nice to experience this activity. After the Hamam we will depart to city center for free time and shopping before returning to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Karaman.

After breakfast the day is yours till your departure transfer to Konya Airport. We will transfer you to airport for your flight back home.
