Itinerary
Fly from Ankara capital to Izmir. Upon arrival in Izmir. Met on arrival at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport and transferred to a hotel in Kusadasi. The rest of the day is free. Overnight in Kusadasi.
Breakfast and check out from the hotel.
08.00 – Pick up from the hotel and meet with the local tour guide. Drive to Pamukkale for the Pamukkale Calcium Terraces & Ancient City of Hierapolis tour.
Ancient Hierapolis & Pamukkale Tour
We will visit Pamukkale (Hierapolis), one of the most interesting places in the world, justly famous not only for the entrancing beauty of its unique geological formations but also for its historical remains. Hierapolis Ancient City, the Necropolis (cemetery) of Hierapolis is one of the biggest ancient cemeteries in Anatolia with 1.200 graves, a Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, the Main Street, and Byzantine Gate. Calcium Terraces, The terraces were formed by running warm spring water, at a temperature of 35 °C / 102 °F containing calcium bicarbonate.
** Swimming in the ancient thermal spring pool of Pamukkale is possible with an extra charge if you are planning to swim please bring your swimming suit with you.
At the end of the Pamukkale tour, return back to the hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.
Pick up from the hotel early in the morning and transfer to the airport. Transfer to Ephesus and meet with our local tour guide.
Ancient Ephesus & Virgin Mary Tour
You will first visit the Temple of Artemis which was once one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Our next stop will be Ephesus ancient city. You are going to visit the world-famous ancient Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, the most well-preserved example in the world. After visiting this impressive site, we are going to have a break for lunch. After lunch, you are going to visit the House of the Virgin Mary, where it is believed she spent her last days. That is a holy place for both Christians and Muslims. Afterward, you are going to visit the Isabey Mosque. At the end of the Ephesus tour, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.
10.30 – We collected you right from your hotel in Kusadasi. Continue to Selcuk.
11.00 – Depart from Selcuk (Ephesus) and drive to Pergamum Ancient City.
13.00 – Arrive in Pergamon & have lunch at the local restaurant.
