Itinerary
Today, we will drive to Gallipoli, approximately 4 hours along sunflower fields and wind roses. On the way, there will be short breaks for both rest and coffee. We will arrive in Gallipoli around midday, and the rest of the day is free. You can relax at your hotel or explore the city and its bazaars. Overnight stay in Canakkale.
The day starts early because there are many destinations in Gallipoli waiting for you to explore. In Gallipoli, you will visit the sites in Cape Helles. The destinations to visit include Cape Helles Memorial, Kilitbahir Fortress, Turkish Memorial, Turkish Cannon Batteries, French Cemetery, Morto Bay (S Beach), Overlook to V Beach from the Turkish Perspective. Additionally, V Beach, V Beach Cemetery, Achi Baba Hill (the main objective of British Forces), Twelve Tree Copse Cemetery, Alcitepe Village, and Lancashire Landing Cemetery will be the next destinations.
Furthermore, on the Anzac Sector Tour, you will explore the sites of ANZAC Cove, Brighton Beach, Anzac Commemorative Site, Ariburnu Cemetery, Beach Cemetery, Johnston’s Jolly (Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels), Respect to the Mehmetcik Statue, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, The Nek, Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment Cemetery, and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. The tour will conclude around 17:30 with a transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at the Canakkale hotel.
