Drop-off Time: 10:30 – 11:30 (approximately)

Begin your unforgettable adventure in the early hours of the morning with a hotel pick-up and scenic drive through the mountains of southeastern Turkey toward the legendary Mount Nemrut National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Upon arrival near the summit, enjoy a short walk to the East Terrace, where you'll witness one of Turkey's most breathtaking natural spectacles—the sunrise over Mount Nemrut. As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the colossal stone heads of the ancient gods, the mountain transforms into a magical open-air museum unlike anywhere else in the world.

Built by King Antiochus I of Commagene in the 1st century BC, Mount Nemrut rises to an altitude of 2,206 meters and is home to one of the world's most impressive archaeological sanctuaries. Explore the monumental statues representing Zeus, Apollo, Hercules, Tyche, and King Antiochus himself while learning about the fascinating blend of Greek and Persian cultures that shaped the Kingdom of Commagene.

After sunrise, visit both the East Terrace and West Terrace, where your guide will explain the history, symbolism, and mysteries surrounding the royal tomb and its giant sculptures.

Continue to the fascinating Arsemia Ancient City, the former summer capital of the Kingdom of Commagene. Discover ancient reliefs, inscriptions, ceremonial tunnels, and impressive archaeological remains dating back more than 2,000 years.

Next, stop at Yeni Kale (Old Kahta Castle), a medieval fortress overlooking the Kahta Valley, offering magnificent panoramic views and rich historical significance.

Your journey continues to the beautifully preserved Cendere Bridge, one of the oldest Roman bridges still standing today. Built during the reign of Emperor Septimius Severus, this remarkable engineering masterpiece provides an excellent photo opportunity.

Finally, visit the Karakuş Tumulus (Black Bird Mound), the royal burial monument of the Commagene queens and princesses, famous for its impressive columns and eagle sculpture.

After completing the tour, return to your hotel in Adıyaman or Kahta.
