Welcome to Turkey, Meet with TravelShop Booking staff around 8:30 am and start Tekirdag City Tour. Today we will visit many interesting and historical places of Tekirdag. At first, we will visit the archeologi and Etnografy Tekirdag museum to get acquainted with the history of the city. The old, well-kept Ottoman-style Tekirdag Vali Konagi (provincial governor’s building, 1927) is now the Archeology & Ethnology Museum. Rakoczi Sokak ends in the west at the Rakoczi Museum, once the house of Prince Francis II Rakoczi (II. Rakoczi Ferenc, 1676-1735) the Hungarian nobleman who led a revolt (1703-1711) against Habsburg rule in Hungary. We will also visit the Rustem Pasha Mosque (1546), the work of the great Minar Sinan, uphill from the main square (Сumhuriet Meidani). During the tour we will have lunch at the restaurant and after lunch we will continue our tour of the Tekirdag city. We will also visit the house of the great poet Namik Kemal. The house in which the native poet Namik Kemal was born in Tekirdag in 1840 was restored in 1993 by the Special Provincial Administration of Tekirdag and the Tekirdag Namik Kemal Association. Namık Kemal House is decorated with ethnographic objects representing the kitchen, main room and bedroom of Tekirdag. Also in this house are works written about Namik Kemal. Martyrs' Monument. During the Canakkale War, a martyrdom was built in 1952 in the area where soldiers who were martyred in Tekirdag hospitals were buried. The monument surrounded by trees rests on a marble base. The two-span marble monument can be reached by climbing the stairs in front of it.On the way we will visit one of the famous leather production centers of the region, where you will have the opportunity to get a good factory rate. On this guided tour, you will avoid the constant nagging and sometimes bullying that is well known in the markets of Turkey.
