Once named ‘Constantinople’ it used to be the capital of the Byzantium and Ottoman Empires, this city is now filled with history. As you travel around with the tour you will visit icons that have changed with roles, such as Hagia Sophia which began as a church followed by a mosque and now is a museum. You will also come across ruins that show ancient icons even in parks where other monuments reside.

Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel in early morning and depart to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport for Istanbul Flight. After your flight, we will pick you from Istanbul airport to Old city Istanbul. Istanbul is the only city connecting two continents in the world. In the tour you will see effects of Roman Empire, Byzantium Empire and Ottoman Empire. First stop will be Ancient Hippodrome; It was the scene of chariot races and entertainment. The Hippodrome comprises of three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Then you will continue to Blue (Sultanahmet) Mosque, built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the "Blue Mosque" because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. It was the first mosque with six minarets in Ottoman Empire period. Across from Blue Mosque, you will see from outside Hagia Sophia Museum. After mini-photo break, we will continue to Topkapi Palace Museum. When Ottoman Empire conquered Istanbul, they built Topkapi Palace and made Istanbul, capital city of Ottoman Empire. In the Palace, you can see Clocks Collection, Weapon & Armour Section, Pavilions, Sacred Relics of the Prophets and Panoramic view of Istanbul from 4th courtyard. After Topkapi Palace Museum we will have a lunch break. Then we will head for Bosphorus Cruise; a traditional excursion by boat along the waterway separating Europe and Asia. The shore is lined with old wooden villas, palaces of marble, fortresses, and small fishing villages. During the excursion you will see the magnificent sights of the following attractions from your boat. See Dolmabahce Palace, and further along, the parks and imperial pavilions of Yildiz Palace. On the coastal edge of this park, is Ciragan Palace, 300 meters of its marble facade faces the shore. At Ortakoy a great variety of artists gather every Sunday to display their work along the street. Ortakoy is a symbol of tolerance with a church, a mosque and a synagogue existing side by side for centuries. Rumeli Fortness Built by Mehmet the Conqueror in 1452 prior to the conquest of Istanbul was completed in only four months to control and protect the infamous Bosphorus passage. It is one of the most beautiful works of military architecture anywhere in the world. Beylerbeyi Palace The summer residence of Ottoman sultans exists in its original renovated glory featuring original antique furniture and magnificent gardens with the Harem on the Asian side of Istanbul.
After Bosphorus Cruise, we will depart to Istanbul Airport for your Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport flight. After flight we will transfer you from İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport to your hotel in Cesme.
