At Ephesus, we will explore one of the world's best-preserved ancient sites. This Ionian city dates back to the 10th century BC and later became the capital city of the Roman Empire in Asia Minor. We will see many ancient structures, including the Agoras, Odeon, Temple of Domitian, Trajan's Fountain, Roman Baths, and the Celsus Library, which was the third-largest library in the ancient world. We will also visit the Grand Theatre, which has a seating capacity of 25,000 people. Ephesus has significant importance in Christian religion as St. Paul and St. John had been there. Ephesus is also one of the Seven Churches.
Our next stop will be the Artemision Temple, built in the 6th century BC, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Afterward, we will enjoy a local lunch before visiting a weaving center to see how traditional Turkish carpets are woven or a leather shop that offers reasonable rates.
