Overview
Payas is a harbor town on the road connecting Anatolia to the Middle East. Because of its strategic importance, it has been home to numerous civilizations, and in AH 921 / AD 1516, in the wake of the Battle of Mercidabık, it became part of the Ottoman Empire. The importance of Payas increased even more given the development of trade between the Ottoman Empire and the countries of the Middle East, as well as its location on the pilgrimage route. In order to fortify this strategic point and address the needs of travelers, Sultan Selim II ordered the construction of a complex here.

Pick up from your hotel in the morning and then depart to Daily Hatay Payas Tour. First visit to Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Complex which was ordered by Chief Amiral Sokullu Mehmet Pasha. Also İnside the complex we will see Monumental Olive Tree. And next station is Payas Castle heritage from Ottoman Empire. The third visit to Cin Tower which used for duty and defense during the Ottoman period. And we will depart to Hatay city. The first station in Hatay is St. Pierre Church is one of the first churches for Christianity and carved in a natural way. And we will see The relief of Hell’s boatman. The last visit to Habib –I Neccar Mosque which known as the first Mosque in Anatolia After the end of the tour return to the hotel.
