The southern coast is steep and dramatic, while the lake boils water from the bottom and is fed by streams.

The lake stretches 900 meters in length, has a width of 300 meters, and a depth of 25 meters. It's located in a valley that runs between east and west. Borabay Lake and its surroundings have been declared a tourist center by the Council of Ministers.
