Itinerary

Upon our arrival at Istanbul International Airport, your guide will meet, assist and transfer you to the “Fully Accessible Point Hotel” in Taksim square.

Overnight in Istanbul.

Istanbul was the capital city of Byzantium & Roman Empires and Ottoman State. It is a most fascinating city, which actually crosses two continents Europe and Asia. It is a city of amalgamation of museums, bazaars, minarets, mosques, churches, palaces, and restaurants catering to every one’s taste, customs and fifteen million people.

After breakfast, we will have Istanbul City Tour. Our first visit will be Hippodrome. Ancient Hippodrome was the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine. Then we will visit Hagia Sophia Mosque. It was previously known as the Church of Divine Wisdom, is simply the best of its kind! Hagia Sophia Mosque is the greatest surviving example of Byzantine Architecture. For 1000 years, it was once the largest church in the world, decorated with stunning 6th century golden mosaics. Today it is a mosque.

(The nearby Hagia Sophia has wheelchair ramps at the entrance)

 

Your next visit will be Sultanahmet Mosque. it was built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. 

(A wheelchair ramp is located at an entrance on the northwest side of the Blue Mosque. The carpet inside is hand-woven and decades old, wheelchair users will have to transfer out of their own wheelchair and into a wheelchair that the staff provides.)

 

Lunch break at 13:00 pm.at Serbethane Restaurant which is next to mosque.

After lunch, magnificiant Topkapi Palace which was built as official residence of Ottoman Sultans. Today this Palace is a museum with a wide collection of Ottoman artefacts including imperial jewels, porcelain, armour and weapons.

(The entrances of some parts of the museum are straight entrances without thresholds. Disabled visitors using their wheelchairs to enter these sections.)

After breakfast we will visit the Rahmi Koc Museum. We will see the collection of the railway vehicles, Ottoman Sultan Abdulaziz's Reign Wagon and Kadikoy-Moda Tram including the 14th century celestial globe and the 19th century transit telescope, also the

 

 

Wright Brothers' glider model, the Douglas DC-3, one of the most important aircraft of all time, from the F 104S Starfighter fighter to a submarine even many old cars.

We will proceed to Pierre Loti Hill. The hill is about 55 meters from sea level. Taking its name from a famous French novelist and traveler, author of famous novel ''Aziyade''. This place offers a splendid view of Golden Horn. At the end of the tour transfer back to hotel.

After breakfast we will transfer to the airport for Izmir flight. Arrive Izmir, meet and assista by our guide and drive to Kusadasi to our “Fully Accessible Point Hotel”. Rest of the day is free in the hotel.

After breakfast between 9.00a.m., departure from hotel for fully guided tour of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient sites in the world en - route, visiting the Temple of Artemis, Curetes street, famous Roman baths, Celsus Library and Grand theatre.

You will see the the Harbor Street, Theater Fountain, Commercial Agora, gate and temple of Hadrian, Androkulos Fountain, Arcadiane Street| with your wheelechair. And you can take picture of Library of Celsus (its 5ft high)

Lunch break around 13:00 pm. After the lunch, we will visit a place, which continues to perform one of the oldest arts of Turkey; a carpet-weaving centre. we will do a Turkish Village Tour; old Greek Village” Sirince (Şirince)” which means “pretty”. Today the village is a perfect synthesis of Turk-Greek culture. Sirince’s construction style today belongs to Anatolian Greeks. The houses on the slope are all Orginal with their white paints. Sirince Village also has a fantastic reputation for making some of the best wines in Turkey - especially fruit wines. We will see the vineyards and it is time to learn how to make fruit wine. In the evening, you will be tested about your knowledge of making fruit wine.

Today we will drive to “Cotton Castle” Pamukkale. We will visit the ruins of Hierapolis, if you love ruins, this is a great option, since you’ll get to enjoy views of ruins lining the main road. Many are so close to the road that you’ll be able to admire their detail without having to veer off onto the dirt paths. Then tour around this natural phenomenon and have the option of lying in the waters of the natural springs. The street leading from the South Gate is cobblestone, which is a common theme throughout the park. Going into the travertine pools themselves are not accessible.

(The path leading from the South Gate offers both the shortest and most direct access to the highlights in Pamukkale with wheelechair.)

 

There are four wheelchair accessible areas in Pamukkale and one that is accessible with assistance:

-Cleopatra’s Pool

-Hierapolis

-Theater (accessible with assistance)

 

After the tour we will drive back to Kusadasi. Overnight in Kusadasi.
