Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport, or Göreme Bus Terminal, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Avanos. After check-in and room key delivery, the rest of the day is free for you to explore Cappadocia at your leisure.

After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our tour. Our first stop is Pigeon Valley, named after the pigeon houses carved into the rocks and stretching from Uçhisar to Göreme. From the panoramic viewpoint, your guide will provide information about the region while you enjoy views of Uçhisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia. Next, we visit the Göreme Open-Air Museum, one of the most important cultural heritage sites in the region. Here, we explore rock-cut churches such as Elmalı, Çarıklı, and Yılanlı Churches while learning about early Christian history. We then continue to Paşabağ (Monks Valley), famous for its unique multi-headed fairy chimneys. Afterward, we explore Zelve Valley, an ancient settlement area, accompanied by our guide. We head to Avanos for lunch (optional). During free time, you may explore the historic town center and visit the Suspension Bridge over the Red River (Kızılırmak). Later, we visit a traditional pottery workshop, where you will learn about the 5,000-year-old pottery tradition of the region. Guests may shop for local handmade products. Dinner and overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Early in the morning, guests may join an optional Hot Air Balloon Tour. After breakfast, we depart for Hacıbektaş town. We visit the Hacı Bektaş Veli Museum and Mausoleum, dedicated to the great 13th-century Turkish philosopher and mystic. Next, we visit an Onyx Stone Workshop, where local stone craftsmanship is displayed. Our next stop is Devrent Valley (Imagination Valley), known for its uniquely shaped fairy chimneys, including the famous camel-shaped rock formation. We then continue to Ürgüp, famous for its stone houses. During free time, guests may visit iconic mansions such as Asmalı Konak or explore local wine cellars. After a photo break at the Three Beauties viewpoint, we visit one of the largest underground cities in the region, Kaymaklı Underground City, where early inhabitants once lived in safety. Dinner and overnight stay in Cappadocia. Guests may attend an optional Turkish Night Show in the evening.

After breakfast, we depart for Konya. Following rest stops along the way, we arrive in the city. In Konya, we visit the Mevlana Museum, where the tomb of Rumi (Mevlana), known as the “Sultan of Scholars,” is located. Free time for lunch (optional). Guests may also visit the Panorama Museum or taste traditional Konya cuisine. Dinner and overnight stay in Konya.
