Today you spend time like farmers in one of the best farming regions in Turkey. Antalya region in Turkey boasts some of the country's most fertile land, yielding plentiful crops of wheat, barley, and oats. But the agricultural abundance doesn't stop there - on over 35 thousand hectares, Antalya's farmers cultivate an array of other crops such as cotton, sesame, onions, peanuts, chickpeas, and various vegetables.

One of the province's specialties is greenhouse cultivation, in which it leads the nation. Over 32 thousand hectares of greenhouses produce high-quality tomatoes, peppers, beans, eggplants, cucumbers, melons, and watermelons, which are sold both domestically and abroad. In addition to greenhouse and vegetable farming, Antalya's expertise in fruit growing is equally impressive. Bananas, oranges, mandarins, lemons, and grapefruits are the region's main sources of income, and the cultivation of olives and avocados is also well-established.

We will visit to the old city (Kaleici) after breakfast. Kaleici is a small historic part of Antalya's modern city, also known as the Old City of Antalya. In history, it was once the sprawling modern Roman town, then the Byzantine Empire, then the Seljuks, and finally the Ottoman town. The Hadrian's Gate (also known as Hadrianus Gate or The Three Gates) is a triumphal arch that was built in the name of the Roman emperor Hadrian. Antalya's broken wonder is the Broken Minaret of the Korkut Mosque, which itself was built originally as a Roman temple in the 2nd century AD. Hidirlik Tower is a landmark tower of tawny stone in Antalya, where Kaleiçi meets Karaalioglu Park. It is believed to have been built in the Hellenistic era on a square plan and later turned into a circular tower in the 2nd century AD. It was either used as a fortification or a lighthouse in the past. The historical Kaleici Marina on the other hand is older than 2100 years and still one of the vibrant places to see in the city.

We have lunch and then depart for Duden waterfalls. All the streams of the region aim at finding their way into the Mediterranean, and as they pour down the slopes of the Taurus, sometimes overland, sometimes underground, and reach their destination. Return to the hotel after the tour, and the rest of the day is yours. Overnight in Antalya.
