An 8-day adventure from Istanbul into Turkey’s storied Black Sea hinterland. You’ll cross the Bosphorus into Asia for overnight stays in UNESCO-listed Safranbolu, explore the seaside charms of Amasra, then head inland to Ankara’s national museum and Atatürk Mausoleum. Next, unwind in Amasya’s Ottoman-era riverfront town before winding north through lush mountains to Trabzon—home to Byzantine Hagia Sophia and the cliff-perched Sumela Monastery—then fly back to Istanbul.
