Australian Camp hike is one of the easiest and most impressive hiking routes close to the city of lakes Pokhara. One of the best day trips to explore the lush woodlands and mountains. Where you will be traversing through thickly forested trails with views of the greater Himalayan range. Along the trail witness views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna IV, Annapurna III, Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu, and other mountain peaks. As well as the unparalleled views of the Pokhara valley.
An hour’s drive from Pokhara will take you to Kande, the starting point of your hike. From Kande traversing through a well-maintained series of stone stairs covered by lush woodlands head towards Australian Camp. The hike takes around one and a half hours. Australian Camp perched on a hill boasts transcendent views of the greater Himalayas. Upon reaching the Camp explore the area and soak in the unobstructed views of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu range, and the lush green hills around.
From Australian Camp, move towards Dhampus. The hike takes around two hours taking you across deep wilderness and terraces farms. Along the trail witness grand views of the Annapurna Range on the backdrop. Upon reaching Dhampus stroll around the settlement and learn about the rich history and culture of the people and soak in the views of the landscape.
Next, from Dhampus proceed on towards Phedi. Following the stone paved trails for about two hours you will eventually reach Phedi. A 30 minutes ride from Phedi, you will reach your accommodation in Pokhara.
